Welcome to the Front Range FOOLS website, we are a local chapter of the F.O.O.L.S. International. We represent FOOLS members in the Denver Metropolitan Area along the Front Range of Colorado.
The Front Range FOOLS are dedicated to life long learning in the profession of firefighting and continuing the traditions of the Fire Service, by mentoring those in our beloved profession.
Our mission is to preserve the tradition, rich heritage, and brotherhood of the fire service. To instill brotherhood, duty, pride, and honor. Our forefathers worked hard, struggled, and died for what is considered by us, the best job in the world. We owe it to remember those firefighters who have gone before us, and given the ultimate sacrifice. Their memory should never be forgotten, but remembered by all FOOLS. It is the spirit of our fallen Brother firefighters that we must keep alive.
The FOOLS symbol of the burning globe signifies that, worldwide, firefighters are all Brothers and Sisters, regardless of racial, ethnic, religious or language differences. Just as fire burns without prejudice, we, the brave soldiers of the war that never ends, are bonded in the same way; we are all Brothers, we are all Firefighters.
The leather fire helmet is an international sign of a firefighter and a symbol that represents bravery and honor. We believe in "Leather Forever".
Membership into Front Range FOOLS is granted through sponsorship by a current Front Range FOOLS member, in good standing.
The Dinosaur on the Front Range FOOLS logo represents both Colorado and Senior Firefighters. Dinosaurs once roamed the highland plateaus of the Mile High City and the Front Range Rocky Mountains. Our logos states, "Old dinosaurs never die, they just pass it on" which refers to our retired firefighters who have passed on the knowledge, lessons, traditions and honor in firefighting.
